RSV season comes to an end
Carepoint Pharmacy donated to help support a familyroom at the Ronald McDonald House near the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Ronald McDonald Charities mission is to help care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing comfort, compassion and community. The charity keeps families of hospitalized children together in a ‘home away from home’. Parents can find support through family meals, family rooms to rest in and find the emotional support they need – just blocks from where their child is being treated. They have four homes around major hospitals in and around Chicago including Advocate Children’s Hospital, Loyola University Medical Center, University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, and the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Besides the homes, they support the families family rooms in the hospitals as well as mobile environment.
After hearing how Ronald McDonald Charity is involved in the community and works with parents of sick children, Carepoint Pharmacy was excited to help with this mission. We have donated not only money but also time and a commitment to help these parents as well. We have offered our services to these parents so they can just worry about their children and not have to worry about their medications. Carepoint would like to take a little stress away from the families’ lives.
